2022/2023 Financial clearance for Graduate Teachers’ Recruitment
Financial clearance for graduate teachers from the various universities will be issued by the Ministry of Finance this year (2022).
The clearance will enable the Ghana Education Service (GES) to recruit graduate teachers after the Ministry of Education has given the green light.
Financial clearance simply means the allocation of funds to allow a specific set of trained persons to enter the civil service and be placed on the government payroll.
Graduates who want to join or work with any of the government-related institutions will have to wait for the issuance of financial clearance by the ministry of finance.
When will the 2022 financial clearance for graduate teachers be released?
Financial clearance for graduate teachers for 2022 will be released to enable the Ghana Education Service (GES) to recruit graduate teachers this academic year. This was disclosed by the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum in an interview.
The government has recently given financial clearance to recruit newly trained teachers from the colleges of education and it has been done. According to the minister, financial clearance will be granted to his outfit to enable the GES to recruit graduate teachers into the teaching field this year.
The 2022 recruitment of graduate teachers will begin when financial clearance has been granted by the MoF. The minister has indicated that the MoE and MoF are deliberating on the issuance of the financial clearance, hence it may be granted at any moment from now. It should, however, be noted that this may be delayed because college graduates will have to finish with their biometric registration before any new development. This means it is likely that the recruitment portal for graduate teachers will be active in the months of June and July.
However, it is worthy of note that the graduate teacher recruitment will help run the free SHS/TVET because most of these teachers are posted to the various senior high / TVET schools.
